Candidate Aaron Smith attends Bloomington Pride event and is featured at DFL booth
Sunday, June 22, 2025
Another scorcher on Sunday but an incredible time at a Pride event. What a fun event if you haven't attended in the past! We were excited to showcase our first yard sign sighting in the wild at the DFL tent. Commissioner Smith also got to work in the Sustainability tent and see a lot of friend and neighbors. Kelly Morrison spoke at the event and we got a chance to say hello as well. Another great event and another great chance to talk to my neighbors about their hopes and concerns for Bloomington.

On Friday, June 20th our campaign got a chance to sit down with Chief Seal and discuss the opportunities and challenges that Bloomington Fire faces in serving our residents and what they need moving forward to serve us all better. The data shows that over 60% of Bloomington fire calls are for medical issues in our community, particularly helping our neighbors. There was also a recurring theme that previous Bloomington administrations had "kicked the can down the road" on investing in protecting us all.
